About Us:

National Youth Advocacy Service provides Independent Visitors (Befrienders) to children and young people in care in Buckinghamshire.

Independent Visitors (IV’s) provide a trusting, positive relationship to the children and young people NYAS work with. IV’s are adult volunteers that are not part of the care system, they are there to visit, befriend and advise. They give the child new opportunities to try activities they may not have done before, like a new sport or hobby, support and encouragement with education, someone to offer empowerment.
